Though the term "imperial" is not yet recognized by AKC, you may have heard this term used frequently to describe size as well as similar terms such as miniature, tiny, teacup, Chinese Imperial, purse puppy, pocket puppy, etc. In various places these marketing terms refer to the smaller size Shih Tzu (compared to the standard 9 to 16 lb. AKC Shih Tzu), which is similar to the term "Teacup Yorkie".
Many people hope to have the smaller ones recognized one day by AKC just like they recognize three sizes of poodles. Alianz Italian Kennel Club of Italy does, however, recognizes Imperial Shih Tzu.
My goal is to always strive to better my breeding program generation by generation. I do health test my adult dogs before I breed them to better each generation to come. I will continue to stay small in order to provide all of my Shih Tzu the care and daily love and attention they deserve and need. Occasionally placing a breeding dog in a guardian home also helps me work towards this goal. Also retiring adult breeding dogs is an ethical practice that is necessary for their health and allows me to keep my numbers down to a manageable size pack.

To be considered as an applicant I ask you please give them the same love, dedication and care that has been given to the puppy here and send me regular updated photos so I can see how your pampered puppy is blossoming into an adult. I love to see how all my hard work, time, expense and many sleepless nights are producing my goal of healthy high quality beautiful Shih Tzu.
If purchasing from out-of-state, I can give references for preferred flight nannies that are trusted to hand-carry your new family member on the plane.
If for some reason you're no longer able to care for your Shih Tzu, please let me know first so that I may be able to rehome or take back the dog as I do not want my puppies to ever end up in a shelter or worse.
I want you to be 100% happy and have a wonderful experience with your new Shih Tzu puppy and will work with you as much as I can to help you get your dream puppy.
